Pray without ceasing. Take it to God in prayer. God answers prayers. God sees, hears, and knows everything. Ultimately, His will shall be done.
Now, that last statement was me.
If God sees, hears, and knows everything, and His will is done, then why do I need to pray? He already knows what’s going on, so there was very little I sought God for. His will was going to be done, regardless of how I felt and what I prayed for or against.
He knows my thoughts, so I don’t need to share them with Him; remember, He knows every single THANG!
As I pin this article, a song just came to mind, ‘Just a Little Talk with Jesus.’ Yeah, that one! One of the verses goes like this:
I may have doubts and fears
My eyes be filled with tears
But Jesus is a friend who watches day and night
I go to Him in prayer
He knows my every care
And just a little talk with Jesus makes it right
Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
Let us tell Him all about our troubles
He will hear our faintest cry
And He will answer by and by
Again, the song confirms, that He knows everything and just a talk with Him makes it right. How? Well, I shared my thoughts on prayer one day, and now I am sharing what I received and now embrace.
Prayer helps me to develop a relationship with God. My Heavenly Father wants to hear from me and talk to me. When I pray, He listens, although He already knows, He still listens to me and I believe that wholeheartedly! Then He answers my prayers in the form of thoughts, spiritual feelings, and Scripture, and He will even use people.
Scripture tells us to let our requests be known. Well, as I shared, He knows everything, but He wants me to acknowledge His existence, and to present my requests to Him. I was once told, I can’t remember who said to me, ‘Our prayers give God the opportunity to open up His blessings to me’. Believe me, I don’t want to hinder my blessings.
If you happen to find yourself in this thought process from time to time you are not alone. And believe me, I have to be mindful, be intentional, and daily go to my Father in prayer. Sometimes it’s just an open conversation, sharing my thoughts pleasant or unpleasant, remember He already knows. I talk to Him. I want to talk to Him. Just try it!
